The application for extension of the research network RNA-DECO was succsessfully funded for the coming four years, 2024-2028.

In the second funding period, the research network will extend its focus towards the understanding of structural implications of RNA modifications as well as their recognition by cellular stress and immune-sensing factors. To achieve this, the network was expanded by structural biologist Christoph Kreutz from the University Innsbruck Lab Homepage Kreutz and molecular microbiologist Isabella Moll from the Perutz Labs Vienna Lab homepage Moll.
